Protection and washing of quilt core in hotel bedding-1

What we usually notice are the surface of the hotel, bed sheets and quilt covers, etc. In fact, the core inside is also very important. Next, let's take a look at the protection and washing of the inner core.

Protection of the quilt

(1) Three-proof fabric: The conventional woven fabric is dipped with a three-proof finishing agent (waterproof/oil-proof/fouling-proof) through the finishing equipment, so that the fabric has a good protective function. For example, 40s133*100 cotton feather-proof fabrics, after Teflon three-proof finishing, are used for duvet fabrics or protective fabrics for bed protection pads, which can effectively protect products from external pollution and reduce the difficulty of product cleaning and maintenance.

(2) Antibacterial filling material: generally chemical fiber filling material, its filling can effectively inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans, the filling is kept clean and not easy to produce peculiar smell. It is the same as the filling material of pillow core (see the micro-article in the 8th issue for details), so I wont go into details here.

(3) Composite fabric: In addition to being polluted by external water, oil and other pollutants, the quilt core is especially polluted by the oil secreted by the human neck for a long time, which is easy to turn yellow and difficult to remove. The difficulty is that even the three-proof fabric is inferior. After the knitted fabric is combined with the waterproof and breathable membrane, it can be used as the quilt fabric to reduce the problem of yellowing. This kind of fabric is breathable and soft, and has an excellent protective effect on external water, oil and other pollutants. At the same time, it can enhance the softness of down touch.

(4) Low-temperature drying: regular low-temperature drying (similar to the method of drying quilts at home), removes moisture and odors, and improves customer experience. It is simple and easy, but it is not easy to use frequently.

Washing of the quilt

Due to the large amount of filling in the core, in order to maintain the softness, fluffiness and warmth of the product. In general, long-term washing (1-2 years), local cleaning or no washing is recommended.

(1) Duvet core: In general, after the filled duvet core is washed, the quilt shell shrinks, which affects the use, and the fluffiness of the down decreases, which affects the feel, warmth retention and lifespan. If it is required that the duvet can be washed, the quilt shell must be made of fabric with a small shrinkage rate and dried at a temperature below 60 degrees.

(2) Chemical fiber quilt core: Under normal circumstances, after the polyester filling material is washed with water, it is easy to agglomerate and entangle, which affects the use effect of the product. If it is required that the quilt core can be washed with water, the chemical fiber filling material produced by a special process must be used and dried at a temperature below 60 degrees, but the price is higher than that of ordinary polyester filling materials.
