New photographs have been released by police in the hope of finding the mother of a baby boy whose body was recovered from a river. The child was found in the River Taff in Cardiff on 23 June, wrapped in a fitted bed sheet and a blue towel.Detectives investigating the case have described the sheet as "golden brown" in colour with a satin finish, and say the towel is the size of a standard bath towel."Both the bed sheet and the towel are from German-based companies," Detective Inspector Mark O'Shea said."They have both told us they that these products are sold via the internet by mail order."We still have genuine concerns for the health and welfare of the mother of this baby and I urge her to contact her GP or local midwifery team for the appropriate confidential medical care she may need."Anyone who can help identify the mother is being asked by police to come forward.
