1. How long do you use a bath towel before washing it?

I've known some people who are very finicky about this and will never use a bath towel more than once. To me this is wasteful of your washer, soap, energy, water, and wears out your towels more quickly. For me, it depends on whether or not my towels can be hung (after I've dried myself with them) somewhere where they can really dry out. If they stay damp, then I feel like they need washing more often. This happens on vacations at the beach if, for example, it gets drizzly outside and I can not hang them outside on a clothes line. Cottages can be a bit humid and the towels may not dry out very well. Normally, at home, with air conditioning in summer and heat in winter, my towels on towel racks dry out very nicely by the next day (I usually shower at night) and I will use a towel at least 3 - 4 times before thinking it needs washing. If it was just me, I might well go a couple of weeks, which is obviously a lot more than 3 - 4 uses, but I have hubby and daughter who will grab "my" towel sometimes and usually leave it in a heap somewhere. I am more inclined to go ahead and wash it then. Even though your body is clean when you are using the towel, the towel is bound to be collecting some dust and skin cells which is why I would say to wash at least every two weeks. I have to wash hand towels and wash cloths a lot more frequently because hubby and daughter do all kinds of things with them - I find them balled up in the bathtub and/or sink, with gobs of toothpaste/soap/acne scrub on them, you get the picture. A fair number of these towels just disappear. I've given up wondering where they go. I've just been remarried 2 years (daughter from previous marriage) and it took a good while to explain to my hubby that I like to leave dishtowels in the kitchen to dry my hands; that if he wants to wipe something off the floor or clean a car seat, there is something else for that!! Some people may think one is not being clean enough if they use a bath towel multiple times, but I think it makes a lot of sense. It is frugal in several ways as I stated above and helping the earth by not wasting resources.

3. how do I remove mold/mildew odor from a bath towel?

Wash them in hot water. i use Tide with color safe bleach. And here is the real secret--Us OXI Clean. I use oxi with all my laundry. It works great. I left a load of towels in the washer once

4. After using your bath towel do you wash it or use it again?

I use it again - for 2-3 days

5. Since I'm clean when I get out of the shower, do I EVER have to wash my bath towel?

I have been TRYING to tell people this for so long. So many people throw their towel in the wash after one use. It's ridiculous
