- a journey of ecological aesthetics co creation between ELIYA and Hanging Gardens of Bali
When the breath of Ubud rainforest resonates with Eastern craftsmanship
On the pristine jungle of Ubud, Bali, Hanging Gardens of Bali redefines luxury living with the posture of a "canopy sanctuary" - the infinity pool and the gurgling sound of the Ayung River complement each other, and private villas seem to grow as organic organisms in tropical rainforests, with every detail telling the philosophy of coexistence between humans and nature. In 2019, the founder couple of the hotel walked into the ELIYA exhibition hall with an ultimate pursuit of "ecological luxury". From the first encounter of 600TC long staple cotton bedding, to the deep customization of SPA linen, and then to the comprehensive cooperation with Westin Hotel, this cross mountain dialogue not only achieved the benchmark of linen for top hotels in Southeast Asia, but also opened up ELIYA's exploration of ecological aesthetics through textiles as a medium.
1、 Pre sales consultation: Decoding the luxury code in the rainforest
A. Cultural Tracing and Scene Reconstruction
The ELIYA design team delves into the brand DNA of Hanging Gardens - 'making guests a part of nature'. Through on-site investigation, the team found that the core customer group of the hotel is high-end tourists who pursue a "healing experience" and newlyweds who hold private weddings. Their linen needs need to meet comfort, aesthetic expression, and environmental responsibility at the same time. Based on this, ELIYA proposes the design concept of "natural symbiosis": the guest room bedding is made of a blend of organic cotton and bamboo fiber, which not only retains the soft touch of long staple cotton, but also echoes the pure atmosphere of the rainforest through the antibacterial properties of bamboo fiber; SPA linen is inspired by the texture of Indonesian dragon brain fragrant tree, incorporating natural elements into geometric pattern design.
B. Deepening demand and adapting technology
In response to the hotel founder's demand for "600TC high count and high-density bedding", the ELIYA technical team uses Xinjiang long staple cotton and Swiss tight spinning technology to achieve a yarn fineness of 1.2 deniers, and has also passed the OEKO-TEX 100 environmental certification to ensure zero chemical residue in the product. To meet the special needs of the SPA area, the team has developed a "temperature sensitive memory fabric" that achieves a 37 ℃ constant temperature touch through a phase change material coating, and innovatively designs a detachable essential oil penetration layer to enhance the customer's healing experience.
2、 Project Implementation: Ecological Collaboration from Rainforest to Workshop
Key nodes and sustainable innovation
• Technological breakthrough: In response to the special needs of hotel infinity pool areas, we have developed a "quick drying antibacterial beach towel", which uses honeycomb structured polyester and silver ion coating to increase water absorption speed by 50% and achieve an antibacterial rate of 99.8%.
Quality control upgrade: Establish a "Rainforest Standard" testing system, simulate a tropical high humidity environment for light fastness testing (ISO 105-B02), and ensure that the linen does not fade for 3 years in strong ultraviolet and humid environments.
3、 After sales maintenance: building a sustainable value ecosystem
Full lifecycle services
ELIYA has established a 'linen health record' for Hanging Gardens, providing quarterly water washing energy efficiency optimization solutions. By adjusting the detergent ratio and washing program, it helps hotels reduce energy consumption by 22%.
Weaving eternity between nature and culture
Since our first collaboration in 2019, ELIYA has supplied over 50000 pieces of ecological linens to Hanging Gardens, covering guest rooms SPA、 The entire dining scene.
This six-year collaboration proves that true luxury lies not only in the stacking of materials, but also in responding to the dual demands of nature and culture with innovative thinking. ELIYA uses textiles as brushes to depict a magnificent picture of ecological and commercial coexistence between the rainforests and oceans of Bali.
In the future, ELIYA will continue to take "nature as its teacher, innovation as its soul" and explore the infinite possibilities of sustainable luxury with hotels around the world.
